Easter centerpiece

easterflowersAs you can see I’ve been looking through magazines again. This simple and beautiful idea is from our friends at All You Magazine. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Two similarly shaped vases, one 3″ narrower than the other
  • Peeps
  • Jelly beans
  • Flowers

Here are the easy steps to pulling it together:

  1. Insert the smaller vase inside the large.
  2. Layer jelly beans in the space between the two.
  3. Arrange Peeps on top of the jelly beans.
  4. Arrange your flowers.

  1. So what are they suggesting you do with the water? I did a similar centerpiece with conversation hearts and you definitely couldn’t put water in with them. Use water picks?

Michelle – they didn’t say but I’m with you. Either water picks or fill the flower vase before inserting it into the larger vase.

There are two vases….you put the flowers and water in the smaller vase/container that is nestled inside the larger vase. The outside vase is what holds the candy, that hides the inner vase. My sister and I are doing this for easter this year and I have seen this concept used many times at weddings…it’s very easy and fun!
