football kickoff party

football-night-party-inspiration-cupcakes

I can’t believe that summer is winding down and it’s almost football season. (My hubby is beyond excited…) So in honor of this American passtime, I thought I would throw {giggle} a little inspiration your way.

First, I love the simplicity of the football cupcake. The grass is just a Wilton grass tip (#233) and the football is just a #3 or #4 tip. (Use freezer weight resealable bags with connectors for easy cleanup.)

And the centerpiece is a very smart idea from InStyle Magazine’s InStyle Parties.  It’s just a flat of wheatgrass, which you can find at your local florist, and miniture plastic football players and goal posts. (My boys have a set!)

I love, love, love the football game centerpiece! I had a similar idea but it didn’t turn out as good as yours:

You have such wonderful ideas. I have five year old twin boys and this year they have different ideas for their bday party. One wants dinosaur and the other wants football party. Can you give me suggestions on where to find a dinosaur playing football/holding a football/wearing a helmet? Sounds like an easy find but I’ve searched online and have found nothing.
    Thanks so much.

LeAnn – wow. That is a tough one! We have lots of dinosaurs in our shoppe (http://www.thecelebrationshoppe.com/themes/view/dinosaur), but none playing football! ;) Best of luck!
