easy felt butterfly craft

Get your kiddos in the spirit of spring with this easy butterfly craft idea. It’s a result of my oldest son playing around with some of the felt, yarn and other goodies left behind after a few Easter ideas we whipped up. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Felt
  • Yarn
  • Straw
  • Lemonhead candy
  • Craft glue

And here are the simple steps:

  1. Trim out the wings (we chose two colors) and glue them together in the center
  2. Cut a straw to lenth, wrap it with yarn and secure the yarn to the straw with a touch of glue
  3. Attach the body of the butterfly and the head (a Lemonhead candy) with another dolup of glue

Happy Monday and as always, I hope you’re inspired!

Smart little guy! Love the idea of the straw to hold up the yarn.

My little girl loves butterflies. This will be a fun craft for me to try with her. Thanks!
