DIY Gift Wrap: Kraft Boxes Embellished with Icicle Wool & Pinecones

Do you love gift wrap? Me too! This year I’m using a series of Kraft paper boxes embellished with wool yarn and pine cones. So simple, yet so lovely!

Natural Gift Wrap Ideas |

For a project with HGTV and JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores, for the annual HGTV holiday house, I created a Christmas mantel with lots of woody and natural elements. These simple Kraft boxes are just a small touch, but make a big impact.

You’ll need:

  • Rectangle and mini hat Kraft boxes
  • Icicle wool
  • Red angel hair yarn
  • Pine cones
  • Glue

Easy how to steps:

  1. Wrap yarn around, on top, across the craft boxes attaching with dots of glue
  2. Embellish with pine cones

Valerie – I purchased this wool already frayed at JoAnns. I’m not quite sure how to do it with regular raw wool. Good luck!! And Merry Christmas!
