Easy Reindeer Christmas Ornament {Wine Cork Craft}

A few months ago a craft of mine, wine cork gift wrap, was featured in All You magazine. The challenge was to work with a wine cork, or many, and I made this little guy during that process. In the end, I used the gift wrap images and idea for the magazine article, but I’m still really proud of my reindeer ornament. {smile}

And the easy how to steps to make your own wine cork reindeer:

  1. Cut straws. Four 1.5” pieces for legs, .5” piece for neck, and two .4” pieces for ears (trim at slant to make pointy ears).
  2. Attach legs, neck, ears and pom pom tail with hot glue.
  3. Attach half of a full size cork or small stopper cork for the reindeer head with hot glue.
  4. Cut 5” piece of floral wire, wrap around head and curve at equal lengths for antlers. Attach with hot glue.
  5. Trim one berry from floral wire and hot glue on head for reindeer nose.
  6. Cut a 5” length of baker’s twine, attach the center point of the twine to the back of the reindeer ornament and hang.
