I’ve partnered with Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser to share creative ice cream social party ideas for spring celebrations! All opinions are mine and mine alone. #SoHoppinGood #CollectiveBias
Spring is finally here and that means lots of little celebrations in our house, from Mother’s Day to Memorial Day to the Last Day of School parties. So I thought I’d share one of my favorite party ideas that never grows old with friends and family: hosting a simple Ice Cream Social. I mean let’s face it, you scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream. {wink}
Start off by picking up a variety of ice cream flavors. I like to have at least four flavors on hand.
And now that Blue Bunny has clear packaging and I can see the swirly amazingness right through the container, it’s easy for me to “see” the flavors I want without opening the freezer case! I never walk out of Wal-Mart without Blue Bunny® Homemade Vanilla and for this social I also picked up Blue Bunny® Bunny Tracks, Blue Bunny® Cherriffic Cheesecake, and Blue Bunny® Banana Split. They’re all beyond divine and they’ll be gone in a flash. You needn’t worry about them melting. {grin}
Once you have the flavors in an ice well, set up all your favorite toppings! We love to have sprinkles (of course), chocolate chips, peanuts, cookies, and syrup to name a few.
For the finishing touches, don’t forget the decorations. I recommend bright colors. I chose these darling honeycombs.
For activities, well that’s easy… let the kids build their own ice cream creation. We made banana splits,
These are so easy! You’ll need: Medium banana, Blue Bunny® Banana Split ice cream, crushed cookies, chocolate chips, peanuts and a wide mouth bowl. My little guests didn’t want syrup, but I highly recommend a great hot fudge!
Now for the build! Cut the banana in fourths longways, and then in half. Line the outer rim of your bowl. Scoop ice cream (we had three scoops!) into the center and top with all the things you love.
chocolate peanut overload (my son’s choice of names),
You’ll need: Waffle cones, Blue Bunny® Bunny Tracks, chocolate chips, peanuts and I recommend ice cream cone stands.
Now for the build! Some would just scoop and top… not here. Scoop a small spoonful of ice cream into the bottom, top with peanuts and chocolate chips, continue to layer until you have a mounding scoop of ice cream at the top. Place on the final toppings layer and enjoy! This way you get all these yummy flavors all the way down. {grin}
and ice cream chocolate waffle cookie sandwiches rolled in sprinkles!
These are super easy too, but super yummy! You’ll need: chocolate waffle cookies, Blue Bunny® Homemade Vanilla, sprinkles.
Now for the build! Allow the ice cream to sit out for about 2 minutes because you don’t want it super hard. Scoop a heaping mound onto one cookie and add the top cookie. Slowly press down so that you don’t crack the cookies. Now, using a spoon, scoop sprinkles onto the edges over a bowl. Finally, wrap each cookie in cellophane, place in the freezer and allow it to refreeze for 10 minutes before serving… unless the kiddos are going to eat them right away… which of course mine did! {wink}
You can find all these amazing flavors at Wal-Mart in the freezer case! {wink}
And make sure you “hop” over to Blue Bunny at Wal-Mart for more creative and fun ice cream recipe and party ideas. It’s So Hoppin Good! {wink}
