Mother’s Day is just a few weeks away and we all want mom to feel special! In less than an hour I whipped up these paper flowers and DIY cake topper for my Mother’s Day dessert table. Wanna create this for your mom? It’s a super easy craft. Let me show you how!
This craft pops a big impact, but it’s really easy to make. You’ll want to hop over to JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores and pick up the DCWV Watercolor Flowers DIY Paper Pack. It’s full of greens, pinks, purples, and yellows. Perfect for Mother’s Day crafts.
In addition to the paper, scissors (my favorites are Martha Stewart), glue dots, foam adhesive squares, and glue gun, you could consider a Cricut Explore. The project pack provides you with the flower and leaf templates, or you can get the cut in seconds with Cricut. {grin}
You’ll also want to make or pick up some paper fans and small honeycombs. They make perfect flowers!
Place this easy DIY flower on a wooden dowel or lollipop stick and insert into a yummy homemade cake.
For the flower wall, I used Glue Spots to attach them. In my experience, they’ve never damaged my walls when I remove them slowly. There are also some great Command Strip products you can find at JoAnn too.
Last but not least, I sewed up an easy lined ruffle table runner from a new fabric at JoAnn. It’s watercolor-ish… and beautiful! I’ll share the full tutorial for it later this week!
