customer: moo, Layla’s 2!

I went to my facebook page yesterday to find a lovely comment from a very talented mom and customer, Shanna Kreza of Shanna Kreza photography. She recently hosted a barnyard bash for her beautiful little girl using some of our On the Farm collection printables (beverage wrappers, tags and napkin rings).

Here are a few shots of the beautiful birthday girl!

And what a lovely barnyard spread. Those cupcake toppers from Cupcakesion are just too cute!

Last but never least, are the activities. Layla’s little guests enjoyed face painting and cookie decorating (one of my personal favorites!).

Hop on over to Shanna’s photography blog to see even more images of the big day and if you’re in the Orange County area to check out her amazing talents. {Thanks so much for letting us share Shanna!} And hop to the shoppe to purchase our Farm Birthday Party Supplies.

Don’t you just love the DIY ribbon topiary? Suzy made two of them! And did you notice the “A” and the “4″ woven into each?

The color palette didn’t stop at the dessert table. Suzy adorned her guest tables with pink and green polka dot table decor from my princess collection, edible centerpieces and tulle chair wraps. Just lovely!

Before I share this lovely party, I wanted to say that I’m back from Disney (had a blast with the kids; I’ll be sharing more about our adventures shortly) and even though it was a quick trip, I’m refreshed. It’s such a creative place and it was so relaxing that I have a ton of ideas to get working on. Also, thank you to the wonderful ladies that blogged for me while I was away! If you missed them, check out their posts: pumpkin art, autumn pasta party and easy Halloween candy apples.

Back to the party! A few months ago we participated in a mom blogger project with Mom magazine. Jamie from Pure Joy was one of the mom bloggers that we met and I have to say, she’s got a ton of energy! She’s a photographer, blogger and of course a mommy. Oh, and did I mention that she’s VERY pregnant, like any day now pregnant. In the midst of all the million things she has going on, she still managed to pull together a beautiful party for her little honey’s fourth birthday using our Buzz collection printables… by the way, she made the birthday outfit too!

inspired ladybug nursery

I’m so excited to share this with you today! Carrie of Half Baked – The Cake Blog has finally shared pictures of her little Sadie’s nursery. She and I were chatting a few months ago and she mentioned that our ladybug collection inspired her. I was thrilled then that she loved the design, but now I’m ecstatic. She did such a beautiful job incorporating our little ladybug into her baby’s nursery and I couldn’t be more proud! Here’s the story in her words…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After nine long months of baking, our little girl has arrived!  Sadie Anne is here and we could not be more thrilled.  She is by far the best thing I’ve ever created and I am just in awe.  While I take some time to be with my family, Half Baked will be visited by some extraordinary guest bloggers serving up amazing Fall inspiration.  Everything from creative DIY’s to parties and fabulous cakes.  Trust me, you won’t even miss me!  But before I go, I thought I’d share with you some pictures of Sadie’s ladybug nursery.  It’s times like this when I wish I had a better camera, but you get the idea!
I wanted to design a room that would grow with her and not be the typical pink baby room.  I fell in love with these sheets from Caden Lane and then built upon them creating a turquoise, red and chocolate brown color scheme to accent the predominantly white bedding.  While racking my brain for a ‘theme’ that worked with these colors and was still appropriate for a little girl, I saw this adorable ladybug party collection by The Celebration Shoppe.  Instantly I was inspired to include ladybugs and flowers.  Let’s take a look…
While I purchased some items, I also made some of the details myself.  After selecting the sheets and changing pad cover from Caden Lane, I purchased a yard of their fabric to make other items for the room myself including the ladybug pillow, lampshade, wall art and Bobby cover (not shown).  I also made the pom poms, ladybug wall decals (inspired by The Celebration Shoppe) and the mobile (inspired by Frazier & Wing).
I hope you enjoy this little peak into our home and into Sadie’s nursery.  While I look forward to enjoying these next few weeks with my new family, you can look forward to some fabulous guest posts here on Half Baked. We have quite the line up of guest bloggers set, so be sure to check back and see what they have in store for us!
Congratulations Carrie! Enjoy your time off and I hope you’ll share pictures of your little bug very soon!
Terri of Crafty Working Mommy hosted a baby shower over the weekend that is sure to have left her guests buzzing. I’m proud to say she used our Buzz collection invitation, table decor and printable collection to pull her look together. She then added her own crafty talents to make this shower perfect. (Cake via Cakes by Sara)
I love the huge sunflowers! And you see the diaper cake and diaper wreath? Terri made them herself and even shares a tutorial.
customer-terri-ba-bee-shower3
And last, but never least, is the dessert table. Terri made cookies and embellished them with our buzz collection designs by printing the image with a special printer on edible sugar paper (excited to say that starting the week of October 11, 2010 we will be selling yummy cutout and sugar paper butter cookies via Sweet Tooth Cottage for this collection and many more in the shoppe; a detailed announcement about this sweet partnership is scheduled for early next week!). Didn’t she do a lovely job?! AND she made the little bee and hive cake balls too.
Hop over to Terri’s blog at Crafty Working Mommy for even more details and as always, I hope you’re inspired! {Thanks so much for sharing Terri! You did a beautiful job!}
If you have little girls, you’ve likely read the book Pinkalicious. But if you haven’t, you’re going to want to after you see this fabulous party from Andrea of Sweet Bambinos. I’m sure you noted the “customer” in the title. I wish I could tell you that we helped her with all the fabulous details, but alas I can’t. She only purchased the pink polka dot cups from us (nice addition don’t you think!), and the rest was all Andrea!
I love the tall cupcake pedestals she made. Yep, you read me right. She made them using a tutorial from Joy’s Hope
And these are only a sample of the pictures and ideas you’ll find when you hop over to Andrea’s blog. Enjoy!
I absolutely love seeing pictures from our very talented customers. The pictures above were sent in from Teena. She hosted a “Chic Bee themed 1st Birthday Party” for her little girl using our Buzz collection. Don’t you just love that cake!
And I’m always amazed at how our printables are further embellished to fit the occasion. In this picture you can see how Teena overprinted text, “I got buzzed at Hanna Bee’s 1st Birthday,” onto the design. Just lovely!
Thanks so much for sharing Teena!
I was admiring this beautiful party over at P is for Party, especially the height of this room with the pom poms… so lovely… when I realized this very talented mom, Christine, purchased some of her table decor from my princess castle collection!  Her little one, Sadie, is shown in the bottom right image, tuckered out after what was obviously an exquisite and fun filled party.
For all the details, many more pictures (courtesy of Leslie Gaworecki of Goodlight Photography) and all the fabulous resources used to pull this perfectly pink party together, hop over and see Christi’s original post.
I was Googling {it’s now a verb!} around and came across a very fun picture of a pirate birthday party. I clicked to see more and realized it was our table decor, pirate ship, gable favor boxes (can’t take credit for the fun stickers) and polka dot & stripe black candles.  It’s rare that we get to see what magic moms put together when they buy our supplies and I have to admit I giggled a little. I still love love love that moms like our designs and decor enough to want it for their little ones. Anyway, I digress! Here is the beautiful pirate birthday party for two twin boys from the erinandaaron.com blog.
She crafted this wonderful door hanger to greet her guests and this beautiful birthday party banner. {Great work mom!}
As I mentioned, the party was for twins so they not only had this beautiful cake for guests, but they made it very special and had individual cakes for the boys. {There are our candles!}
