You ROCK! Valentine – free template

Have rock star kids?! {grin} Want easy and personalized class Valentines that are fun and adorable too? Oh, and did I say FREE?!

Because my readers ROCK!, I’m giving away these super cute kid Valentines to all of you. For this easy kid Valentine idea, you‘ll need:

“You Rock!” valentine printable template ~ DOWNLOAD (8.5 x 11 sheet); note that some browser versions may show the fonts odd or changed, but they’ll be lovely once you download
#80 white cardstock
Tape (Washi tape would be cuter)
Paper trimmer or scissors
Suckers

Easy how to:

Open the file and personalize with your child’s classmate names and your child’s name (all fonts are embedded and you only need Adobe Reader to access)
Print
Cut out cards (six to a sheet)
Attach sucker using tape and so that the top of the sucker is lined up with the guitar

Football Party Cupcakes

Just wrap your cupcakes with our adorable chevron “GO TEAM!” cupcake wrappers, make a few pennants and you’re all set. The football cupcake wrappers and pennants have been updated for Super Bowl 2013 colors: Baltimore versus the 49ers.

You could also use them for other types of snacks, like I did when I made a Cheez-Its stadium last year! I styled these on a stadium design. And guess what, download the files and get them too!

Thanksgiving owl acorn craft + freebie

Hello everyone! Deanna of Mirabelle Creations here. With Thanksgiving quickly approaching I had the opportunity to style a kid’s Thanksgiving table for a local magazine and I whipped up these cute little acorn owls to go with my printable Thanksgiving party collection.

These little owls are a fun craft to get you in the holiday mood. And, they’ll be welcomed visitors at your Thanksgiving kids’ table. Or better yet, let your guests make these DIY acorn owls so you can enjoy more time at the adult table. {Hoot! Hoot!}

I came up with the idea while my son was learning to ride his bike. I picked up several fallen acorns while he was practicing and at the time I wasn’t sure what I planned on doing with them, but since I knew my Thanksgiving kid’s table was going to incorporate owls, I decided to transform the acorns into little hoot owl crafts.

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own acorn owls:

Acorns
Felt (in several colors)
Fine Tip Permanent Marker
Hole Punch
Scissors
Craft Glue
Yarn (optional)

Simple DIY steps:

If not already secure, glue the tops of the acorns to the acorn. Several of the acorns I picked up had loose tops. Before beginning to assemble the owls, glue the tops to the acorn. Alternatively, you could remove the tops and set the acorns upside down, so that the bottom of the acorn becomes the top.
Cut out two oval shaped pieces of felt for the wings.
Using a hole punch, punch two white circles out of the felt for the eyes. If your hole punch does not punch all the way through the felt, use scissors to cut out the circles.
Cut out a small felt triangle for the nose.
Starting with the eye, glue felt circles onto acorn. Follow with the nose and wings.
Using the fine tip permanent marker, make small eyeballs in the white circles.
If you want you can glue the acorn owls onto yarn to make the Thankfulness leaves for the tree or for a napkin wrap.
