free printables for summer!

the-celebration-shoppe-in-mom-magazine-backyard-bbq-cover

I mentioned in last Wednesday’s post that there is a real buzz around here in anticipation of getting our hands on the July-September issue of Mom magazine. I’m so excited to say that I styled a backyard bbq for the issue at the request of the fabulous Natalie Klein of Hot Moms Club! Well I don’t have a high res file of the full article yet (and it’s already out), but I did get my hot little hands on the cover and a low res (that’s why the article is so small here)! I should be getting the full article very soon and I will definately post it so you can read every word! {wink} UPDATE: Full article and more pics!

the-celebration-shoppe-in-mom-magazine-backyard-bbq-free-printables

In the meantime, I don’t want to give it all away by showing you the images used in the article, but I will show you these tight shots of the printables that I used to style the shoot. I chose a variety of patterns all in primary colors so they can be perfect for the fourth and all summer long!

the-celebration-shoppe-backyard-bbq-straw-slips

Here’s a closer shot of the straw slips I used, which can also be perfect as toothpick skewers in sandwiches, etc.,

the-celebration-shoppe-backyard-bbq-napkin-ring

the napkin rings, and

the-celebration-shoppe-in-mom-magazine-ice-cream-idea1

the placecards, which can also work great as favor tags.

And since I love giving things to my friends: those who read my blog, follow me on twitter and friend me (like me) on facebook, I’m giving these to you!  I’ve posted a download link to these freebies on facebook and I’ll be tweeting the link for several days to come. We’ll also be sending e-mails this week to everyone who has purchased from us in the past and is signed up to receive “special offers” (box in the upper right corner). And if you’re new here, please come join me on facebook, twitter, or sign up for offers so you don’t miss out on future freebies!

I hope you have a wonderful week and that you swing back by to read the full article!

introducing ladybug

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-collection1

This collection has been in the back of my mind for months. I knew I wanted to create a ladybug collection, but I didn’t want to use only the traditional red and black color palette. Then when we started creating the new “little sailor” collection, I knew that adding this beautiful Tiffany blue was the answer I was looking for.

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-candy-labels

As with all of our new collections, we created candy buffet labels. There are eight pre-filled labels (rock candy, licorice, cookies, lollipops, fruit chews, chocolate candies, gumballs and salt water taffy) and there is a sheet of blank labels so you can print (print the label and then overprint the candy name) any candies you like.

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-placecard

The blank labels are also darling as placecards.

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-favor-tag

For favors, this collection offers a “thank you” tag (tin buckets found at Target for a $1.00!),

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-cello

and a cello topper. These are wonderful for pre-packaging candy or cookie favors.

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-beverage-wrapper

As for beverages, we designed a bottle wrap. We show it here with water, but these also look great on old fashioned soda bottles or on hurricanes to dress up your centerpieces.

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-straw-slips

And straw slips (six designs in all) are a must so there is no drink confusion, especially with little ones.

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-napkin-rings

And what would your placesetting be without an adorable napkin ring? Oh, and see the tag on the pail? That is the cupcake pick.

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-straw-display

I also used it to embellish my straw vase. There is just a multitude of ways you can use all of these printables.

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-cupcake-set

And I had to show you this image of the cupcake picks and wrappers once more. You’ll notice that I used a circle punch and then overlayed the same design on top with a scallop punch (foam adhesive square in the middle to give it dimension; all easy finds at the craft store), but I wanted you to focus in on the cake plate. Do you see the paper inset? It’s the same design as the wrapper, but in blue. These 7×11 sheets (in blue with red and in red with blue) will be available when you purchase the entire collection to help you “complete” the look of your table.

the-celebration-shoppe-ladybug-banner

Last but not least, you’ll need a banner to hang above your dessert bar. This image actually only shows four of the eight patterns available in the printable. And if you’re looking for a shortcut on the banner, use hot glue (my favorite crafting tool) to adhere the cardstock triangles to your ribbon and you’re done!

This collection will be in the shoppe within a few days and as always, I hope we’ve helped inspire your next celebration!

As a follow-up to my post introducing our newest collection, little sailor, here are a few shots of the placesetting I chose. I really liked how these blue and white polka dot plates and napkins rimmed in brown pop when paired with the red tablecloth and printables collection. As for the placemat, I just used a sheet of nautical inspired cardstock (Water Waves from Express Yourself Creatively) from the craft store.

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-placecard

For baby showers especially, a lovely placecard is a must!

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-napkin-ring3

And the of course a cute napkin ring to tie the plates and napkins in with the printable collection.

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-placesetting-long

Make sure you check out the rest of this collection in my original post and in the shoppe. And if you’ve not already, friend us on facebook for sneek peeks into what’s coming up next! What’s black and red with dots all over? {wink}

As always, I hope we’ve inspired you for your next celebration!

introducing little sailor

the-celebration-shoppe-little-sailor-collection

We’ve been working on two new collections for a few weeks now and I’m so excited to share the first, a little sailor birthday or baby shower party, with you.

I’m completely in love with this whale. It’s perfect for either a nautical themed baby shower or a little boy birthday party. And this color palette just made me giddy when we were putting it all together. It’s the perfect combination of bright and soft.

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-cake-plate2

For the cupcake printables, we paired bright nautical images with a lovely light blue patterned cupcake wrapper. I’m a huge fan of mixing patterns to get a “wow” effect. It’s much more interesting than matchy matchy.

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-mini-banner

As for the cake plate, I decided to create a mini-banner made from this collection’s straw slip patterns. I just snipped them into triangles and assembled them using a hot glue gun and red thread. I really love how it turned out.

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-choc-anchor-cupcake

And last but not least, instead of using our fun cupcake picks on both levels, I used the anchor design, in the striped pick, to make red chocolate transfer anchors. (It’s much easier than you might think. It’s a little like tracing a picture except you’re using melted chocolate in a resealable bag with an icing tip and wax paper.)

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-beverage-wrappers

We created nautical beverage wrappers sporting our little whale that can double as hurricane wraps or even flat napkin bands.

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-candy-label3

And of course we had to create dessert labels. The collection has eight pre-filled labels plus a sheet of blank labels so that you can overprint any treats you like. (These cookies were flooded with white icing and embellished with the same chocolate transfer anchors as the cupcakes and they were delish!)

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-candy-labels

The pre-filled labels include sugar cookies, licorice, rock candy, salt water taffy, chocolate candies, fruit chews, lollipops and gumballs.

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-cello

And of course cello toppers are a must. We filled these with red sour balls. Yum!

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-thank-you-tag

Or, send your guest home with a little goody bag embellished with our “thank you” tags. These adorable buckets were found at Target for $2.50 each. Wish I had them for the shoppe.

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-straw-slips2

We also designed these adorable straw slips, six patterns in all, that are great to label your guests’ drinks.

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-photo-mat

Other touches include this 4×6 picture frame mat,

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-banner2

flag banner (four patterns),

the-celebration-shoppe_little-sailor-rock-candy-jar

and this rock candy jar embellished with a wooden anchor from the craft store.

You can shop the little sailor party invitationfull set of nautical printable party supplies, and thank you notes in the shoppe.

introducing luau

the-celebration-shoppe-luau-party-collection

You’re going to want to grab your hula skirt or your Hawaiian shirt for this one because we’re having a luau! Our new luau collection includes custom invitations, thank you cards, decor, cookie cutters and nine coordinating printables from our normal cupcake picks and wrappers to picture frame mattes to show off the guest of honor.

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-feature

We start off with our palm tree and flip-flop dinner and dessert plates. They’re fun and fresh and perfect for summer. We actually have three coordinating napkins with this set. A flip-flop beverage napkin, a palm tree guest towel and a solid fuchsia/hot pink napkin if you want to use our flip-flop napkin rings.

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-purple-dot-cup

As for cups, we chose two. We’re offering our hot pink polka dot shatterproof cups and we’ve added a new purple polka dot shatterproof cup. Both go beautifully with our straw slips (come in five designs from hibiscus flowers to stripes). I wish I could offer the bamboo placemats too, but we found these at Target in the dollar section along with the table height tiki torches, actually they were $2.50, but still, right?!

the-celebration-shoppe_palm-tree-surf-board-cookie-placecard1

And these are the luau cookie placecards that I blogged about a few days ago.

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-menu-matte

For this collection I wanted to offer a “Menu” matte for the buffet table (the matte is 5×7 with a 4×6 inset so you can print the design and then overprint your menu),

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-frozen-refreshments-matte

as well as a “Frozen Refreshments” matte (5×7) that could be perfect for anything from smoothies to ice cream to frozen daquaris {yum!}.

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-party-ice-cream-service-2

These are just scoops of sherbert served in icie cones and serving springs (available right now at Target).

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-party-picture-frame-matte

And this adorable little girl is a friend of mine’s daughter. It was taken at a recent birthday party and I thought it was very appropriate to showcase our guest of honor picture frame matte. A beautiful way to greet your guests and remind everyone who deserves all the attention!

thecelebrationshoppe_luaucupcakefeature1

Oh, and we can’t forget to feed our guests lots of sweets. I blogged about our luau cupcake collection a few days ago, but I thought it worth repeating my hula skirt cake plate again. {wink}

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-cupcakes1

Here are close-ups of the cupcake picks and wrappers. I admit that I’m planning to have at least a small gathering this summer and use these babies. They are just adorable and will be a great precursor to vacation at the beach!

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-bottle-wrappers-2

We also designed water bottle wrappers, that can double as hurricane wrappers or even as a flat napkin ring/flatwear wrapper.

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-cello-toppers

And last but not least, your guests can’t go home empty handed. Pack up some goodies in a little cello bag,

the-celebration-shoppe_luau-favor-bag1

or even a white lunch bag with a nice favor tag (read original post about easy favor bags). Maybe send some of those cupcakes to go!

Stop over at the shoppe and check out the entire collection. As always, I hope we’ve helped inspire your next celebration!

{new} rock star printables

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star

Later today our new “rock star” printable collection will be live in the shoppe and I have to admit I will most likely personally use this collection for the boys when they get a little older (this year they’ve already decided, a prehistoric dinosaur dig for my youngest and a science experiment party, yet to be developed, for my oldest).

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-ty-tags1

Building on our original Rock Star collection, we chose Mediterranean blue, black and red as the table decor and favor color palette. Plus, we added two new patterns: stripes and animal print.

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-cello-toppers

These cello toppers are probably my favorite in the collection. I chose red sour balls for the shoot, but you could give jaw breakers, gum balls, rock candy, stickers, tattoos, iTune gift cards… the possibilities are endless.

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-picture-frame-2

And due to a very popular request, we decided to create a new printable component for this collection, a 8×10 picture frame matte. Perfect for a candy table or gift table to show off your little rock star. (Note: We’re hoping to be able to add the foam guitar shown in this picture, as well as the blue stars found in other pictures, to the collection in a few weeks.)

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-napkin-ring

We also created a rockin’ napkin ring,

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-star-cup-guitar

multiple straw slip patterns. This is our stripe slip shown with the star shatterproof cup, and

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-stripe-cup_print

this is our animal print straw slip shown with our stripe shatterproof cup. Both will be available in the shoppe. There is also a “rock on!” with music notes slip and a stars and dots slip, just like the cupcake wrapper pattern in the following image.

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-cupcake_stars2

We designed this cupcake set first and

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-cupcake_set

then decided we just had to create a stripe version with the silhouette as well, so you’ll get both designs for the price of one when you buy our cupcake printables.

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-candy-label-jar

And if you want to create a fabulous candy table, we designed candy labels for rock candy, cookies, gumballs, jaw breakers, chocolate, jelly beans, popcorn and pop rings. Or, if you prefer to select your own goodies, overlay print your own ideas on our blank labels (guitar silohette is reversed to white). The two are sold as a set so another two-for-one.

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-candy-labels

Here are a few of the other candy labels,

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-candy-label_cookie

and the cookie label.

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-music-note-cookie-cutter

We also have the cookie cutters for music notes and

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-guitar-cookie-cutter

guitars, which are both perfect for edible placecards. {wink}

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-on-banner

We even created a “ROCK ON!” banner with a black guitar silhouette spacer. This entire project was so much fun!

the-celebration-shoppe_rock-star-candy-canes

And last, but not least, I had to share these blueberry candy canes that we found at Cracker Barrel (good resource for vintage candy) with you. My boys could hardly wait for the shoot to be over so they could try one. I do warn you… they are blue… very blue… as in blue lips, blue face, blue tongue… but they loved them and I’m sure your guests would too.

As always, I hope you’re inspired for your next celebration! You can find our Rock Star invitation, Rock Star thank you note and printable Rock Star party supplies in the shoppe. {oh! And fan us on facebook for regular updates on what we’re working on. Luau, with a mod twist, is next!}

easy football brownie finger food recipe

Easy Football Party Brownies

Hosting a party this Game Day?! Make these football brownies. They’re super easy, fun and you’ll look like a superstar. It’s a win – win… no matter who wins. {grin}

For this little finger food recipe, you’ll need:

  • Brownie box recipe (I use Duncan Hines Chewy Brownies so my little one with with dairy allergies can enjoy them too)
  • Cream cheese icing (I use Pillsbury Cream Cheese icing, again, no dairy)
  • Resealable bag, with a corner snipped off
  • Butter knife

And here are the easy steps:

  • Bake your brownies as directed.
  • Allow them to cool completely.
  • Cut out football shapes with a butter knife, keeping them fairly close together so that you can limit waste (like there would be waste!).
  • Place on your serving platter (TIP: Line platter with wax paper or food safe liner as shown so that your party finger foods come up easily)
  • Spoon icing into resealable bag, snip corner and pipe on four lines
