featured in BHG Tricks & Treats

I’ve been so very excited about this project for such a long time and now I’m so thrilled to be able to share it with you. I have been a fan of Better Homes and Gardens Tricks and Treats Special Issue for years. I would flip through and ooh and aah at all the fun and crafty ideas.

Well this year I’m so proud to announce that you can find my ideas and designs on pages 50 through 57! Okay. And I have to tell you, you can also see a small image of my cupcake printables on the cover. THE COVER! And again on page 1 as part of the table of contents. Yay! Then yet again on pages 104 – 106 with instructions. WOW! And finally on page 118 in the resources, along with my fabulous cookie partners at Sweet Tooth Cottage. It’s more exciting than I had hoped. You know how you tell yourself not to get too excited about something until it actually happens? That was me. For months now. But now I’m officially over the top excited!

Go out right now and pick one up! Please! I know they’re on shelves at Barnes and Nobles already because I picked up a copy… okay, maybe it was five. Or, if you can’t wait, my article’s name is “Wicked Easy” and you can find tons of details on the Better Homes and Gardens site at bhg.com/wickedeasy. If you like it, I’d love a thumbs up on facebook or a tweet!

But you still need to pick up the mag because it is just full of fabulous ideas from the editors! There’s a Mad Hatter Tea Party that is the perfect twist on Halloween fun. There are kid crafts and lovely black and white party details perfect for an adult soiree. The entire magazine is a must have!

And the best part of this fabulous project, I’m giving away our Candy Corn collection to readers for FREE. It includes an invitation, cupcake picks & wrappers, cello toppers, beverage wrappers, favor tags, dessert labels, a pennant banner and more! You can still find the custom printed invitations, cookies, and orange and white polka dot table decor in the shoppe. Plus, and this is new, if you’re not crafty, we now offer you the option for us to craft and ship our printables.

Now,download your freebies and start planning that party! (Once you click you are taken to facebook. You can either print or download. Your choice.) Enjoy and if you use them please send me pictures! I would LOVE to see them and may even feature them.

As always, I hope you’re inspired!

You may remember his Dino-ROAR birthday celebration (my original post with tons of pictures), well it’s Parents magazine’s Party of the Month!

You can hop over to Parents.com to see more pictures! And if you do, I’d love for you to “like” my little one’s party so they know you were there! By the way, sorry for the grainy images. I scanned them from my issue!

big news! blogger for Kellogg’s

I’m super excited to share that I’m Kellogg’s SnackPicks.com new Party Planning blogger. I’ve known since early this year and have just been bubbling over to share with you!

Being connected to a brand like Kellogg’s is incredible in itself, but you also have to understand that Kellogg’s isn’t just a brand for me, it’s a staple in my family. My favorite Kellogg’s cereal is and will always be Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, my late grandmother’s absolute favorite cookie, one that you would always find in her southern kitchen, was the Keebler Sandies Pecan Shortbread (ah, so many fond memories of sitting with her on summer afternoons nibbling those cookies… little teary), and then there is the entire family’s favorite sweet, the Rice Krispie Treat!

Most of you know that my youngest son has severe food allergies, with dairy being at the top of that list. Well, the Rice Krispie Treat has saved me so many times with class snacks, birthday parties and just plain family nights in (made with dairy free, vegan, butter… and no, you can’t tell the difference… kid tested, promise).

For those moms out there like me, you know that it’s not just about having snacks on hand that your child can eat, it’s about having something that they can share! Loved by all, the Rice Krispie Treat is my go to snack!

I’ve made them a ton of ways, with my most recent idea being my first post on SnackPicks.com. Hop over now to see more of my Rice Krispie Paint Brushes.
