celebrate the fall season with a harvest party

Orange and Blue Harvest Party | TheCelebrationShoppe.com

I love being outside in the fall. The air is crisp and fresh, and the colors are gorgeous. The perfect setting for a party! And, living in Ohio, my family and friends take every excuse possible to get outside and have a bit of fun before the temperature drops. {wink}

Just think pumpkin donut bobbing, mini apple pie pockets, kettle corn popping, leaf jumping and maybe even a bit of football! This party collection, with my little scarecrow and two-tone pumpkins, will be the perfect backdrop to all that fun!

This harvest party supplies collection, in oranges, yellows, browns and a pop of aqua, offers an invitation and supplies:

  • banner (five patterns)
  • thank you favor tags
  • beverage wrappers (two patterns)
  • cupcake toppers (two patterns)
  • cupcake wrappers (two patterns)
  • dessert labels and placecards
  • napkin rings (two patterns)
  • straw slips (six patterns)
  • pattern sheets (three patterns)

All items are available in the shoppe. You can buy the Harvest party invitation and complete Harvest party supplies collection, or you can purchase any item a la carte.

Want to know how to make a photo booth?

I love having photo booths at my parties for many reasons. The obvious reason is to capture those precious memories, right! Well, why not do it with style. It doesnt’ have to be hard or a major production.

make a photo booth

Photo booths allow your guests to get silly PLUS it gives them a great backdrop so you don’t have a messy kitchen or a million people holding cake as your backdrop in all your photographs!

photo booth

Here are the supplies I use to make my photo booths. And the best part, mine are mobile! A party indoors, you’re all set… party outdoors… you’re all set!

make a photo booth

I start with:

  • Blank white canvas (I use a 4×6 foot canvas)
  • Coordinating fabric (you’ll need at least a yard and a half of fabric, but check the width to make sure it will cover)
  • Hot glue gun
  • Optional: canvas stand available at craft stores

Then I embellish my canvas with:

  • Pennant banner on ribbon or twine,
  • or other party elements like crepe paper twists

photo props for photo booth

Finally, I create photo props for the guests to hold. I like to hot glue them to wooden dowels and put them in a bucket or vase full of sand so that they stay upright and ready for the next guest.

Making a DIY photo booth is just that easy!

These are my party collections that have designed photo props, but we can create them for any collection. Just ask!

UP movie balloon birthday party supplies

For my friend, Francesca of the SITS Girls, we designed a bright “UP” balloon birthday party collection for her little girl. I’ll feature pictures from the big day in my next post, but first I want to share all of the fun new birthday party printable designs and supplies making their way to the shoppe this week!

Fran’s little one was turning two so she wanted lots of activities to keep the kiddos busy. She hosted an outdoor movie viewing, and a magic show, plus we made fun coloring sheets. Needless to say that between the activities, all the yummy treats, like the s’ mores dessert bar and balloon cookies (that our partners at Sweet Tooth Cottage baked up), guests went home smiling!

Here’s what you can find in this UP MOVIE balloon birthday party (invitation  and party decor, all items can be customized):

  • Balloon invitation and thank you note
  • Welcome guests with a Large Movie Premier Sign (11×17; TIP: print at Costco for $5.99)
  • Balloon cupcake picks and multi-colored cupcake wrappers
  • Book Adventures favor mat (5×7)
  • Balloon favor tag
  • Adventure awaits balloon bookmarks
  • S’ mores dessert bar mat
  • Balloon dessert tags
  • Balloon beverage wrappers
  • Magic show activity poster
  • Activity balloon coloring page
  • Balloon napkin rings
  • Balloon placemats (11×17)
  • Custom balloon butter cookies (from our partners at Sweet Tooth Cottage)

All items will be in the shoppe later this week! Until then, you can e-mail us at customercare@celebrationshoppe.com if you need something right away or are interested in a custom collection created just for you!

host a BBQ bash with free printables

Summer is zooming by and I still have so much that I want to do! One of which is have friends over for a big BBQ with a campfire for roasting s’ mores after sunset. It’s on my summer bucket list. {grin}

As I was thinking about decor, I pulled these images out of the archive. I contributed to an article in Mom magazine a few years ago and designed these summer party printables for the shoot.

And of course I’m giving them to you.

My little guy will be turning six in less than a week and his party is in nine days!  Woo Hoo!

We’ve developed a new line of camp party printables (the invite is in the shoppe and the other items will be soon) and I’m busy planning away.

The day will be full of camp fare from the CAMP COLE SNACK SHACK and we’re hosting tons of fun activites like potato sack races, tug of war, and archery (with NERF bows of course! I mean, he is only six!)!

Oh, and if you’re wondering why the pic says “Day 20,” thats because I’m photojournaling our summer and yesterday was Day 20. (You can follow our adventures on Instagram at TheCelebrationShoppe.)

camp week party favors

My oldest son’s school is in the midst of camping week at school and I was in charge of a snack. It was the perfect opportunity to create party printables for my campout birthday party collection.

I filled 4″ cello bags with two Keebler Chips Deluxe Rainbow Chocolate Chip cookies and closed the bags with my new campout cello toppers. The little note says “Thanks for visiting CAMP Westview.” They were a huge hit!

The collection isn’t quite ready for the shoppe, but it’s coming very soon!
