Happy Wednesday!

I found these on the Hello! Cupcake website and simply had to share it.
Here’s what they had to say about these fun graduation day cupcakes: “Our mortar board caps are made from a chocolate coated marshmallow cookie such as Mallomars. But any round shaped chocolate could work. We added an Andies mint for the flat top but you could also use graham crackers cut to size and dipped in melted chocolate. The tassel is made from red licorice pull and peel, but could be just as easily cut from fruit roll ups. We added a red mini M&M for the button. The diploma is phyllo dough we rolled into little diploma shapes and baked for just a few minutes to make them lightly golden. A pirouette cookie cut in half would also make a cute little diploma. We used the peel and pull again to make the string holding the diploma shut.”
This is only one of their fabulous creations so make sure you pick up a copy of this “must have” cupcake book! I personally have one and I can tell you that the instuctions are detailed, easy and I’ve yet to make a design that didn’t come out just like the pictures.
Happy baking!

I was out looking for ideas for a pink graduation inspiration board to go with our graduation girl collection, when I came across this adorable “real party” hosted by Teresa McFayden at My MiNuTia.

Love these pink and black monogrammed houndstooth cookies!

Don’t you just love the little brothers expression! Read all the details and see more pictures in Teresa’s original post.

As for our graduation girl collection, here’s a look at the invitation and thank you paired with the decor from our divine birthday party collection. By the way, there is a graduation guy collection too. {wink}
We just launched two new custom graduation invitations, “graduation girl” and “graduation guy.” I know, I know, but once you look at them you’ll understand. One is pink and the other is blue and they are perfect for preschool, high school or college graduation parties.
Okay, so to the cupcakes. These were created by Melanie Hess and they are oh so cute! Here’s what you do. First, ice red velvet cupcakes with chocolate frosting. For the caps, turn a Reeses Peanut Butter cup upside down and top it with a Ghiradelli chocolate square. For the finishing touch, pipe a tassel in your graduate’s school colors (tint white icing and use a #2 tip) and top with a mini M&M for the button.
