Peach & Mint Bridal Shower + Peach Cocktail

It’s wedding season and that means bridal showers! I’m in love with the soft hues of peach and mint. This color combination makes me think of the south… of home.

In my opinion, choosing the color palette for your wedding has to be one of the toughest decisions for the big day… beyond choosing the right man of course. {wink} Everything from your bridesmaid dresses, flower arrangements, invitations, linens, ribbons, favors… and on and on… and on… will reflect the colors you’ve chosen.

But no matter the color palette you choose, rest assured that Seagram’s Escapes can help you Keep It Colorful for your bridal shower, bridesmaid brunch and even reception.

Or… if you were like me… for those moments when you just needed to “escape” from all the pressures of planning the big day. {grin}

This sparkling Peach Fuzzy Navel cocktail is one of my favorites! Not only is it yummy and light, but it’s so pretty when paired with fresh fruit.

Easy OREO Football Party Favors

Planning a football party? Me too. My youngest chose football as his birthday party theme for this year. I still have weeks to plan, but we needed an easy party favor to celebrate with his classmates on the last day of school since he has a summer birthday.

Fun Food: Easy Football Party Favors | Kim Byers, TheCelebrationShoppe.com

These simple football party treats only take a few minutes. You’ll need:

And here are the super easy steps:

  1. Insert two OREOs into the cello. The best part, they fit right in perfectly.
  2. Cut about 2″ off the top of the bag.
  3. Seal with a piece of washi tape.
  4. Draw football threads with a Painters pen.

I packaged the football bags in a small basket with a personalized pennant. He was happy, his friends all loved them and it only took me 10 minutes to pull together. {grin}

If you’d like a personalized pennant with your child’s name, you can find them in the shoppe with my Monster Birthday Party Supplies. We can even change the color combination if you’d like. Just send a “convo” in Etsy and let me know what you need for your child’s party.

Construction Theme Birthday Party

Yesterday I shared the darling Construction Themed Birthday Cake and today I’m sharing all the rest of the party details. So if you have a little digger in the family, make sure you pin this page for lots of party inspiration!

And for the party games, activities and favors!

Construction Theme Birthday Party Activities | Ellen Jay Events on TheCelebrationShoppe.com

Details straight from the hostess, Lauren of Ellen Jay Events:

This was for my son Sam’s 2nd birthday. I decided to go with a dump truck construction theme because he is crazy about trucks right now. Last year for his first birthday I did a Little Man theme with bow ties and mustaches in pastel colors so this year I wanted to go a little bit bolder with the orange and yellow and lots of chocolate to represent dirt and mud and all the things little boys love and showcase some of his interests! Sam absolutely had a blast dressing up as a construction worker in the photo booth and playing dump trucks with all of his friends in the sandbox. And a month later, he is still talking about,  “my birthday party”, “dump trucks” and “dirt” so I think it was a success!

For the sweets I wanted to focus on lots of chocolate to resemble dirt/mud with pops of orange and yellow. They consisted of chocolate cake and cupcakes with chocolate buttercream, “dirt cups” – layers of brownies, chocolate pudding and crushed oreos, sugar cookies in the shapes of dump trucks, hard hats, construction cones and the #2, homemade caramel corn, chocolate dipped pretzel rods, Reese’s Pieces and Whoppers.

The party activities included a coloring station with crayons and hard hats for all the kids, a photo booth with props, and a “pin the load on the dump truck” game with a prize wall. For party favors all the kids got a sand bucket and shovel with a dump truck, stickers and bubbles.

The invitation/printables were ordered on etsy from KM Thomas Designs

Construction Theme Birthday Cake

How much fun is this construction theme birthday cake?!

Construction Theme Birthday Party

Lauren Kapeluck of Ellen Jay Events hosted a construction themed birthday party for her little guy and this cake is just one small detail, but it’s won my heart. So simple to make, but such an awesome display.

All you’ll need are crushed chocolate graham crackers for the dirt, some brand new construction toys (well washed), a few orange cone candles and a chocolate cake.

You can style this in less than five minutes, but you’ll have your guests talking all day. LOVE IT!

I’ll be sharing more of Lauren’s amazing party tomorrow and you can find her here too:
