customer: perfectly pink

the-celebration-shoppe-customer-sadies-party

I was admiring this beautiful party over at P is for Party, especially the height of this room with the pom poms… so lovely… when I realized this very talented mom, Christine, purchased some of her table decor from my princess castle collection!  Her little one, Sadie, is shown in the bottom right image, tuckered out after what was obviously an exquisite and fun filled party.

For all the details, many more pictures (courtesy of Leslie Gaworecki of Goodlight Photography) and all the fabulous resources used to pull this perfectly pink party together, hop over and see Christi’s original post.

Happy Monday everyone!

a royal birthday

We launched a fabulous, if I do say so, Prince & Princess birthday party invitation last year. It’s fairytale castle and fire breathing dragon make it perfect whether you have a little prince, a little princess or both. And this year, we launched a slightly girlier version, Princess Castle, focusing more on the castle and a whimsical gated entryway. I’m not sure which I like more.

So with our new design we also wanted to style a new table. Don’t you just love this fuchsia and white polka dot plate and napkin set with lime green rim!?

To this we added favors including enchanted carriage boxes:

Princess crowns for the special girl:

Royal court tiaras for all of her guests:

And of course we had to create some new printables to go with our already popular pink polka dot cupcake wrappers and princess crown and castle picks:

pink & brown tablescape

We often get calls from customers asking about items in photos that we used for staging, but don’t sell in the shoppe,  so I’m going to start doing a better job of giving you all the details. We staged our new baby bump shower a few weeks ago. Most of the items we offer in our decor, but here are the few things we don’t:

Placemats – these are just 12×12 sheets of DCWV (Die Cuts With A View) Glitter Pink-Brown Flower Dots cardstock from the craft store.

Candy vase – I was browsing the candy store (as I do too often) and ran across these strawberry flavored malted milk balls. Well after I thought “yummy!” I thought how adorable they could be in the new baby bump tablescape. So long story short, I melted down some pink chocolate, covered a few pretzel rods, sprinkled them with pink crystals (available in the shoppe) and settled them into a ribbon embellished short vase of strawberry flavored malted milk balls.

Tulle napkin ring – I was browsing for inspiration for our new black & yellow buzz theme and ran across a table setting that used a black chrysanthemum as a napkin ring. It was really beautiful so I thought about trying to find one at the craft store. I wasn’t in luck so I decided to make my own version for baby bump using pink tulle. To make these yourself you’ll need pink glitter tulle and florist wire. And here are the easy step-by-steps:

  1. Cut 12 4×4″ squares of tulle and stack them.
  2. Fold the group like an accordian.
  3. Pinch them in the center and wrap them with a small piece of florist wire.
  4. Trim the ends as shown.
  5. Cut a straight line between each fold to the florist wire separating the folds into individual petals.
  6. Carefully separate the individual petals and pull upward to give the flower fullness.

It takes a little patience, but it’s worth it… don’t you think. {wink}

introducing princess printables

princess-printables-collection_blog

As many of you know, we started a printables collection last week with the launch of our “on the farm” birthday party theme. The response has been wonderful so now we’re planning on adding printables to a number of our existing themes. This one is of course an addition to our popular princess birthday party themes (prince & princess and princess castle) and are as simple as print, cut and party. Enjoy!

new birthday designs

I know I’ve been missing in action this week and I apologize, but I promise it was for good reason. Here’s a preview of the two new birthday party invitation designs that will launch early next week.

The first is brand new and I loving call “down on the farm.” Don’t you just love the little pig in his mud puddle?! And I can’t wait to share the creative table decor, goody box and cupcake wrappers.

And the second, “princess castle,” is an adaption of our “prince & princess” theme. This one has much more pink and yes, it is missing the fire breathing dragon!

I’ll post a big announcement as soon as they’re a go. Wish us luck with the photo shoot this weekend; my weather man says it might rain…
