A choo! choo! train birthday party could be just the ticket {wink} if you have a little conductor in your midst like I do.  Here are a few DIY ideas on how to pull together the cake/cupcakes (starting in upper left corner):

Enjoy!

I’m so excited to announce our newest “train” collection. The table decor colors alone just make me smile: blueberry, lemon, grass and rich red.

Along with the custom train invitations and thank you cards, we designed these train cupcake picks and wrappers,

straw slips,

napkin rings, and

favor tags for our printables collection.

And this was a fun little craft we created just for the shoot. The sign was so easy and only cost about $2.00 to make. (The train at the base was purchased as seen at the craft store for a mere $.59 and would be perfect as a placecard.) All you’ll need are two pre-cut wooden bases (small for sign and medium for base), yellow craft paint, dowels and black craft paper for your letters. Oh, and a sweet hubby to drill the holes for you. {wink}

As always, I hope you’re inspired for your next celebration.

DIY train centerpiece

This is a very smart choo choo train birthday table from Little Shindigs. The train itself appears to be made of tin storage boxes, craft paper, ribbon, silver cupcake papers and tissue or cotton coming out the smoke stack. Very cool! And the table runner brings it all together. You could make one very quickly from green, black and gray felt (buy the green off the bolt at the fabric store so you don’t have to piece it) and fabric glue.

And don’t you love these favors: little suitcases filled with goodies and conductor caps!
