- Double boiler (or make your own with a boiler, glass bowl that is only slightly smaller and a metal spoon)
- Wax paper
- Piping bag and #2 tip
ingredients:
- Double Stuffed Oreos (the regular aren’t thick enough for the lollipop sticks)
- Pink melting chocolate (or you can die white chocolate with food coloring)
- White icing
- Pink crystal sprinkles
- (NOTE: For these to be egg and dairy free, simply use dairy free chocolate available from vegan stores. Surprising to most, Oreos have neither ingredient!)
packaging:
- Lollipop sticks
- Clear cello bags
- Pink ribbon
instructions:
- Place about a ½ cup to ¾ cup water in the bottom of your double boiler and pour ¾ cup to a cup of melting chocolates into the top section. Place boiler over low heat. (NOTE: Allow to melt slowly to avoid burning and never add liquids to your chocolate if you think it is becoming too dry. This will only make it harden. Add additional chocolates and lower your heat.
- Insert your lollipop sticks into eight Oreos and set aside on wax paper.
- Insert ¼ cup of white icing into a piping bag fitted with a #2 tip and set aside.
- Stir your chocolate to get out the last few lumps.
- Carefully insert your Oreos into the chocolate. You may have to laddel some over the top with a spoon to cover completely.
- Allow cookies to cool on wax paper for at least 30 minutes.
- Using your piping bag, freehand a princess crown. If this makes you nervous, practice on the wax paper a few times.
- Sprinkle icing with pink sugar sprinkles. (NOTE: You might need to use a toothpick to sweep away any excess sprinkles.)
- Allow icing to dry completely before packaging, at least 30 minutes.
- Insert a princess pop into each bag, secure with a tie, cut away any excess bag so that the lollipop stick is outside, and embellish with a pink ribbon.
Enjoy!
