Paint Easter Eggs

When I was a kid we never used plastic eggs for Easter. Never. With my kiddos I’m a bit nostalgic and we dye and paint real eggs. However, we’re not opposed to a few candy filled plastic eggs! But we do like to doll them up a bit. {grin}

To make chalkboard paint Easter eggs, you only need three things:

Paint Easter Eggs

I chose to only paint one half of the egg so that they would still be colorful.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter holiday! And as always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate!

black and white tasting party

Last week, we received an email from Flavia Bonfadini, from fete a fete, with this fabulous black & white themed tasting party. She shared that her inspiration for the black & white decor was the newsprint food-safe fry basket liners she used and she continued this striking theme throughout.

Her presentation prowess is obvious with the clever way she displays the appetizer dishes — lots of colorfully tempting foods against the black and white themed decor. Flavia takes simple bar food to a whole new level!

I love how she used the chalkboard craft concept throughout the party; including black adhesive paper to label beverage tubs; mini chalkboards to mark the foods’ names on the snack food buffet table and she even hung a chalkboard on the wall as a scoreboard!  You can pick this paper up at your local craft store and Flavia used her craft punches to get the fun and perfect shapes. Brilliant!

{Thanks Flavia for sharing your tasting party with our readers!} Hop over to fete a fete to see more of Flavia’s wonderful details and for the soft pretzel recipe!

As always, we hope you’re inspired to craft, bake and create!
